Day 1
Flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi
In the morning, you will travel to Zanzibar Airport for a flight to Serengeti National Park. The flight departs at 07:45 hrs and arrives at 10:45 hrs. A safari guide will greet you at the airstrip and start the game drive in Central Serengeti. You’ll enjoy a packed lunch at one of the park’s picnic spots. After lunch, more game drives will continue, offering wildlife viewing opportunities. In the late afternoon, you’ll head to a lodge or camp within the park. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at a comfortable Serengeti lodge or tented camp
Day 2
Explore Mikumi
Staying within Mikumi National Park, you have the option to start your day with an early morning game drive. After breakfast at your lodge or camp, you’ll enjoy a full day of game drives through the park. If you’re staying inside the park, you can have lunch at your lodge or tented camp, while those staying outside will enjoy a picnic at one of the designated spots. Mikumi is part of the expansive Selous Ecosystem, which includes the Selous Game Reserve, and is home to a wide variety of birds and animals.
Among the wildlife you may encounter are giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, hippos, impalas, warthogs, elands, wildebeests, and several antelope species. In addition to game drives, you can take an afternoon walking safari with an armed ranger who is both a wildlife expert and a naturalist. After a thrilling day, you will return to your lodge or camp for an overnight stay
Day 3
Flight back home
On the last morning in Mikumi, you can enjoy an early game drive before breakfast. Afterward, you’ll head to the airstrip, concluding your 3 day flying Mikumi Safari.
