2 day flying safari-Itinerary
Day 1
Flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi
Take an early flight from Zanzibar to the Mikumi, where your safari guide will be ready to greet you. After assisting with your luggage, you’ll head to Mikumi National Park in a 4×4 safari jeep, traveling via the Morogoro Mbeya Highway. The drive will take about 5-6 hours, depending on traffic, with arrival in the early afternoon. After completing the necessary paperwork at the park gate, you’ll begin your first game drive. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic spot or local restaurant on the way. Spend the afternoon exploring Mikumi National Park, home to baboons, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, elephants, impalas, gazelles, and other wildlife. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into your accommodation, either a tented camp or a budget rest house within the park. Your stay will be at Camp Bastian, with lunch and dinner included
Day 2
Explore Mikumi and fly back home
On this morning, you’ll begin your day with an early game drive, followed by breakfast at your lodge or rest house if staying inside the park. After breakfast, you’ll embark on another game drive, spending the morning exploring until late morning or noon. You’ll then check out of the park and start your journey back, driving through Morogoro and Chalinze to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in the early evening, you’ll board an evening flight back to Zanzibar, arriving in time for dinner at your hotel
